Mr. Cesar Luis dL. Lim is an ASHRAE Fellow (2012) and a recipient of the 2009 Milton W. Garland Commemorative Refrigeration Award for Project Excellence. He co-authored the “ASHRAE Design Guide for Cleanrooms (2017)” and has served as a voting member of TC9.11, Chair of the Refrigeration Technology CPCC (2012-13), Refrigeration Liaison for CTTC (2013-16), and a member of the ASHRAE Standards Committee (2016-17 & 2019-2023). Mr. Lim has revised the ASHRAE Guide for Sustainable Refrigerate Facility and Refrigeration System. He is the author of the ASHRAE UN Environment Assessing RAC Sustainability Technical Guide (2024) and served as Philippine Chapter President (2002-03).

Mr. Lim’s professional experience includes roles as a production supervisor at PHILACOR, HVAC-R Design Engineer at KOPPEL Inc., refrigeration division head at AG & P, and design consultant for the San Miguel Corporation Group of Companies. Currently, he is the Managing Partner of Kilojoule Consultants Int’l. Co. He also serves as a judge for the low GWP Refrigeration System Awards of ASHRAE UN Environment.

Mr. Lim has authored and co-authored numerous publications, including the ASHRAE Design Guide for Cleanrooms (2017) and the Philippine Mechanical Engineering Code (2012). He has written articles for the ASHRAE Journal, including “Ammonia System Fix” (May 2010), and various technical papers for the San Miguel Technical Forum on topics such as refrigeration systems and oil coolers.

Mr. Lim has been recognized with numerous awards, including the ASHRAE Chapter Service Award (2008), the ASHRAE Milton W. Garland Commemorative Refrigeration Award for Project Excellence (2009), the ASHRAE Fellow Award (2010), the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award (2015), the ASHRAE Exceptional Service Award (2023), and the PSME Most Outstanding Chapter President Award (1993).

Mr. Lim is a member of the International Institute of All Natural Refrigeration (since 2000), the Philippines Bureau of Product Standards Cleanroom TC 83 (since 2016), the PSME Representative to the AASA Board of Trustees, the Philippine Green Building Initiative (PGBI) Board of Trustees, the Association of Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning and Refrigerating Specialist (AHVARSI) Board of Trustees, and the Philippine Society of Industrial Plant Specialist (PSIPSI) Board of Trustees.
