Vincent Sakraida has 42 years of experience in the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of cleanroom facilities. His expertise spans pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, hospitals, medical centers, aerospace manufacturing facilities, and high-containment biological laboratories. Vincent is the chairperson of ASHRAE’s TC9.11 Clean Space technical committee and ASHRAE’s representative to the ISO 14644 US TAG.

 

Vincent’s professional journey began with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Over the years, he has been involved in various high-technology projects, contributing to the development of cleanroom standards and guidelines. His work has been instrumental in advancing contamination control technologies and practices.

 

As a member of the NEBB Cleanroom Performance Testing standard committee, Vincent has played a crucial role in developing standards and best practices for cleanroom performance testing. His contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including ASHRAE’s Distinguished Lecturer award. Vincent has presented many seminars internationally and authored several technical articles on cleanroom technology.

 

Vincent’s current focus is on setting up cleanroom HVAC systems for variable airflow operation. His presentation will explore the energy savings potential of incorporating variable airflow operations in cleanrooms and how to set up operating limits for cleanroom HVAC systems. His work is critical in ensuring that cleanrooms remain energy-efficient while maintaining the required particulate levels.

 

Throughout his career, Vincent has been dedicated to advancing cleanroom technology and improving contamination control practices. His contributions have had a significant impact on the industry, ensuring the safety and quality of products manufactured in cleanrooms. Vincent continues to be a leading figure in cleanroom technology, driving innovation and excellence in all his endeavors.
